Tomes & Bones Book Co. was born from a simple idea: books, dogs, and community make life better—so why not bring them all together?
What started as a love of cozy reads, wagging tails, and meaningful human connection has grown into a mobile bookshop built for Bozeman.
We believe stories are meant to be shared, dogs make everything more joyful, and community is something you create intentionally. Tomes & Bones exists at the intersection of all three. From book clubs to dog-centered pop-ups, our goal is to create spaces where people feel welcomed, inspired, and connected.

Are dogs allowed at Tomes & Bones pop-ups?
As long as the venue allows, absolutely! We will always make it clear if pups are welcome at a particular pop up. When allowed, friendly, leashed pups are always welcome at our events.
What kind of books do you carry?
We curate a mix of fantasy, romantasy, thrillers, mystery and children's dog books.
Do you sell dog treats and pet merchandise?
Yes! We carry a small but high-quality selection of dog treats, toys, and accessories that pair perfectly with a good book and a great walk.
Where can I find Tomes & Bones?
Currently, we’re a mobile pop-up bookshop! You can find us at local markets, breweries, coffee shops, community events, and seasonal collaborations around Bozeman. Upcoming events are always listed on our website and Instagram. Look out for our mobile trailer coming in the spring of 2026!
Do you host book clubs?
Yes! We run a community-focused, dog-friendly book club. Fill out our book club form or follow us on Instagram to hear about the next pick.
Do you offer pre orders for featured books or book club picks?
Yes! Preorders help guarantee your copy and support our small business. Pickup is available at pop-ups, book club meetups or we can deliver within Bozeman.
Can I request a specific book?
Absolutely. If there’s a title you want that we don’t currently have, you can submit a request and we’ll do our best to bring it into our next inventory order or drop it off if you are within 15 miles of Bozeman.
Do you take custom orders for gifts or bundles?
We sure do. Whether you need a themed gift set, a “Blind Date With a Book” bundle, or something dog-themed and cozy, we’re happy to create it.

Are you available for private events or partnerships?

Do you accept returns?
We follow a standard indie-bookshop-friendly return policy. Exchanges or store credit is available within 7 days with receipt. Books must be in pristine and unread condition. We do not accept exchanges or returns on Blind Date books, sale items, dog treats, toys and accessories.
